About Lynne Wellish

Lynne Wellish, CMP, CHSE is an award-winning speaker, consultant, hospitality trainer and educator at LynneWellish.com. Lynne founded the business in 2011 as a hospitality training, lead generation, sales and marketing consulting firm.

A graduate of UNLV in Hospitality Management and an adjunct faculty member at Scottsdale Community College in the Hospitality College, Lynne has over 30 years’ experience in the industry in a variety of positions; she’s a serial hospitality sales executive.

As a seasoned hospitality industry professional, Lynne understands the dynamics of hospitality sales in conjunction with meetings and events. Lynne’s team supports your sales and marketing strategies with a grassroots approach to crush and even surpass your revenue goals by expanding your reach with a personal touch to your prospective clients.

Lynne is also a sought-after dynamic speaker, trainer and subject matter expert in the hospitality industry. She regularly works with hospitality businesses and their owners, management team and staff to improve their skills and knowledge.

Competitive Advantage

To ensure her clients receive the attention and dedication they deserve, Lynne only works with four clients at any one time and only one client in each space. With her extensive experience, Lynne understands the mindset of both the buyer and seller in today’s marketplace. Working with small boutique companies, Lynne understands the focus of the business owner is not necessarily always on sales and how layoffs in the sales department can reduce the sales in your pipeline.

The lack of a sales department leads to reactive selling. To combat this, Lynne offers a proactive revenue stream approach and can easily act as an extension of your existing sales and marketing team. Unlike most, Lynne loves making cold calls and managing projects as she has a genuine love and passion for the hospitality industry. “Let me take that trade show list and find a few rubies for you.”

{The Scope Creep and Contract tips presentation was a huge hit! Everyone really enjoyed the presentation and we all learned something new about change order form, pixel paint and the importance of having an agenda for each meeting as well as some meeting trends. SGMPAZ appreciates your time and knowledge shared at today’s meeting. This is a topic that meeting planners struggle with and you really shined a light on negotiating and setting boundaries. Everyone has a story to share! Let’s talk about having you back!

{The Kansas City Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (KCMPI) hosted its annual Professional Education Conference and was lucky enough to share the knowledge and experience of Lynne Wellish, CMP, CHSE. Lynne presented a particularly meaningful education session – “Could You Do Just One More Thing?” – outlining the necessity of setting boundaries and learning to say no. That message is a daily reminder for busy professionals of the importance of balancing work and life! Lynne delivered this relevant topic in a sincere and artful way, showcasing her uncanny ability to speak from the heart and from the lessons learned in her more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. What a great take-away from an outstanding speaker! Lynne also presented an additional education session – “Language of AV for Beginners” – which was equally well received and valuable to both meeting planners and suppliers alike.
